First

The petition is served

The company often has around 4 weeks before the hearing. We can extend this period through an adjournment at the first petition hearing. 

Then

It is advertised in the Gazette

Once the petition is in the Gazette your bank account is frozen. A Validation application can re-open your company bank account, Fastspeed Legals can arrange this for you.  

AT

The hearing

An adjournment buys time to understand your options, file HMRC returns and raise the funds, or to propose a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
